Throw her a bone

MTV had the VMAs again. This year Britney Spears not only opened the Video Music Awards but she also won 3 awards. One of these awards was one that she had never won before even at the height of her popularity. I know that she came out with a new cd recently. Post melt down, head shaving, umbrella wielding Britney recent but has anyone heard any of the songs. I know that I haven't heard any of her new songs on the radio. I remember when she came out with her debut cd you couldn't turn on the radio without hearing "baby one more time" or "oops i did it again" and even her later stuff like "toxic" was always heard on the radio. She didn't tour after the new cd came out to promote it either. All these things lead me to believe that MTV decided to throw her a bone. I asked my boyfriend mark if he thought the same and he said it was possible. I think MTV did this to say hey you had a rough time and we still support you so here are some awards and you just keep plugging along and dont go crazy on us please. This may sound a bit cinical but for her to win an award that she wasn't even able to win at the height of her popularity when the others nominated were mariah carey(though she wasnt really a contender anyway), Rhiana and Kate Perry(she sings i kissed a girl and i liked it). If she beat out Rhianna and Kate Perry for an award that she wasn't even able to win when she was really popular. Sorry Brit but MTV just threw you a bone.
